About Leon
I am a dedicated and motivated A-Level student currently studying Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry. I have a strong passion for mathematics and enjoy helping others understand challenging topics in a clear and simple way. Having recently completed my GCSEs myself, I understand the pressure students face and the areas they commonly struggle with. I am patient, approachable, and focused on building both confidence and exam technique. My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can steadily improve their skills and grades.

My Approach to Tutoring
My teaching approach is focused on building strong understanding and confidence. As a current A-Level student studying Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry, I understand the GCSE curriculum closely and know the common areas students struggle with.
Teaching Methodology & Techniques
I begin by identifying the student’s strengths and weaker topics.
I explain concepts step-by-step in a clear and simple way.
I use worked examples to model methods before guiding students through similar questions themselves.
I include regular exam-style questions and past paper practice to improve exam technique.
I encourage students to ask questions and explain their thinking to ensure real understanding, not just memorising methods.
My lessons are interactive, supportive, and adapted to each student’s pace.
Lesson Length
Lessons are typically 1 hour long, which allows enough time to:
Review previous work
Learn and practise a key topic
Work through exam-style questions
Set optional practice for improvement between sessions

Currently studying A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry
Achieved strong GCSE results (including Maths)
Have been tutoring GCSE Maths for a few months, helping students improve understanding and confidence
