About Lee

Growing up in the performing arts and working in the entertainment industry for over 45 years, I have always coached actors, singers and dancers alongside my gigs in theater, opera, music theater, television and film. I am also a director/producer who owned and operated The Black Diamond Cabaret Theatre and conservatory for 20 years. Currently, I am appearing in the Food Channel's Season 29 of "The Worst Cooks in America," The Emerald Nuts Spot on the YouTube channel and in the Netflix show, 2nd episode of "Bad Thoughts. In the past five years I have won two awards for my voice-over work and have appeared in TV commercials, a film for Hallmark and several video projects for children. I'm very proud that many of my students are also working in the industry as film and television actors, singers in opera, music theater and in rock, country and jazz touring bands. I'm especially proud that one of my alum won an award at South By Southwest festival in Austin, TX and another nailed down a project recently with Netflix. Four of my alum are now acting coaches themselves in the public school system. Almost all of my high school students land a leading role in their school theater productions!

About the lesson

With over 40 years in the entertainment industry I am a voice actor and on-camera talent, vocalist, dancer & director. Techniques will level the playing field but potential clients want to know who you are. Learn how to use your talent and skills to bring the authentic "YOU" to every audition! Learn how to trust your own instincts and choices rather than guessing what "They" want. Voice Acting is fun but it's not about your voice. It's what you do with it as an actor. We are story "tellers" not "readers." With me, we'll explore all kinds of VO genres; animation, commercial, audiobooks, documentaries, video games and more to discover where you might fit into the voice-over industry! Let's get started!
