About Anjalyy

A Little About Me

My journey with the violin began during the COVID-19 lockdown, when I started exploring the basics of the violin on my own. With the help of online resources, regular practice and a lot of curiosity, I gradually learned the fundamentals and eventually became able to play simple songs by myself.

That experience made me realize how much I genuinely enjoy learning and playing the violin. What started as something I explored during lockdown slowly became a meaningful part of my life, and I have continued learning and developing my skills in Carnatic violin over the years.

Because I have experienced those first steps myself, I understand that starting a musical instrument can sometimes feel confusing or difficult. This is one of the reasons I would love to teach beginners. I want to make those initial stages easier by providing patient guidance, encouragement and individual attention.

I don't believe that a student needs to be naturally gifted to learn an instrument. With genuine interest, consistent practice and the right guidance, progress is possible step by step.

I would love to share what I have learned so far and help other beginners discover the same joy and satisfaction that I found through the violin.

Learn Carnatic Violin from the Basics – Patient, Dedicated & Beginner-Friendly Classes

Have you always wanted to learn the violin but felt that it might be difficult to start? I’m here to make your first steps in Carnatic violin simple, comfortable and enjoyable.

I believe that learning an instrument takes patience, consistency and proper guidance, so I give individual attention to each student and explain everything step by step rather than rushing through the lessons.

What you can learn:

Basic introduction to the violin and how to hold it correctly
Bowing and fingering techniques
Sarali Varisai and other basic exercises
Swarajathi and simple Carnatic music exercises
Basic understanding of swaras and rhythm
Simple Carnatic songs as you progress
Regular practice guidance to help you improve steadily

My classes are especially suitable for complete beginners, children and anyone who wants to learn Carnatic violin at a comfortable pace.

I understand that every student learns differently. My aim is not just to teach the notes, but to help you develop a good foundation, confidence and genuine interest in playing the violin.
