About Murad
I am an architect, design professional and entrepreneur with over 22 years of international experience in architecture, urban design, real estate and the business of design.
I hold a Bachelor of Architecture from Jefferson University, USA, and a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, New York.
As the founder of ONARCH, my architectural practice, I have spent more than two decades designing, developing and delivering projects across diverse sectors and international markets. Running my own firm has given me a perspective that extends well beyond design, encompassing real estate development, project feasibility, client relationships, construction and the commercial realities of architectural practice.
Throughout my career, I have developed a particular passion for mentoring young architects and helping students discover their own design potential.
I believe great architecture begins with strong thinking. A compelling design concept is not simply an attractive idea; it must emerge from a deep understanding of context, function, human experience and the fundamental principles of architecture.
My approach to mentorship is shaped by both academic excellence and practical experience. I enjoy challenging students to think critically, question assumptions, explore possibilities and arrive at design solutions they can confidently explain and defend.
My goal is not merely to help students succeed in their current academic projects, but to equip them with the mindset, confidence and fundamental skills that will serve them throughout their architectural careers.
I believe architecture is best learned by understanding how to think, not simply what to draw.

My sessions go beyond conventional architecture tutoring. I help students develop the ability to think like architects, build strong design concepts, understand fundamental design principles, and translate ideas into meaningful, well-resolved architecture.
With 22 years of international professional experience running my own architectural practice, a Bachelor of Architecture from Jefferson University and a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, I bring together academic knowledge and real-world expertise.

Whether you're struggling to find a strong concept, refining a studio project, preparing for a jury or looking to understand the professional world beyond university, my sessions are designed to give you skills that remain valuable long after graduation.
