About Chomphunut

Hi! I’m a native Thai speaker currently living in New Zealand. I have a Master’s degree in Education (TESOL) from Massey University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Translation and Interpreting, with professional Thai-English interpreting experience.

I have always enjoyed languages and communicating with people from different backgrounds. Living and working in New Zealand has also given me a deeper understanding of the challenges that English speakers can face when learning Thai — especially pronunciation, tones, sentence structure, and knowing what sounds natural in everyday conversations.

I enjoy teaching because I love seeing someone go from “I don’t know how to say this” to being able to have a real conversation in Thai. I believe language learning should be practical and relevant to your life, rather than simply memorizing vocabulary and grammar.

Whether you are learning Thai because you have a Thai partner or friends, are planning to travel or live in Thailand, need Thai for work, or are simply fascinated by the language and culture, I would be happy to help you reach your goals.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each learner. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and gradually becoming more confident using Thai in real situations.
