About Tanatswa Elliot

Hi! I’m a dedicated and passionate swimming coach with a strong background in competitive swimming. I proudly represented my school’s first team, where I developed not only technical skill but also discipline, teamwork, and a deep love for the sport. I understand that learning to swim can feel intimidating for some, which is why I focus on creating a safe, encouraging, and structured environment for every student. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to improve your technique, I tailor each lesson to your individual needs and pace. My goal is to help you feel confident and capable in the water, while making sure the learning process is fun and rewarding. With patience, clear instruction, and positive motivation, I’m here to guide you toward your swimming goals—one stroke at a time. You can count on me to be professional, punctual, and fully committed to your progress. Let’s get started on your swimming journey!

About the lesson

My Approach to Swimming Lessons

As a former school first-team swimmer, I bring both practical experience and a passion for teaching to every lesson. My approach is student-centered, meaning I adapt to each individual's confidence, skill level, and learning pace.
Techniques & Methodology

I focus on:

Building confidence in the water first, especially for beginners.

Teaching strong fundamentals: breathing control, body position, and stroke technique (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke).

Using step-by-step progressions, fun drills, and real-time feedback.

Creating a supportive and positive environment where students feel safe to learn and make mistakes.

️ Lesson Structure

Typical lessons are 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Each class includes a warm-up, skill focus (technique or endurance), and a cool-down.

I include short challenges and goals to keep lessons motivating and fun!

My Experience

I swam competitively for my school's first team and was labelled as the best, which gave me solid technical skills, discipline, and a love for the sport. I now use that experience to help others enjoy and improve their swimming—whether they’re complete beginners or looking to refine their strokes.
Who My Lessons Are For

Ages: Children (5+), teens, and adults.

Levels: Beginners to intermediate swimmers.

Ideal for those who want to overcome fear of water, learn basic strokes, or improve technique and stamina.
