About Paul

Highly experienced DJ and radio presenter.
I have been tutoring DJing for 3 years professionally both private and in school environments.

I play disco inspired house, sunset chill out sets, and old skool at clubs and festivals across the country.
I play open format gigs (any music genre mixed together) at private parties, corporate events, bars and clubs.

I have a weekly radio show on the UK's largest independent dance music radio station Centreforce 883.

I am a club promoter, anyone who tutors with me will have the opportunity to DJ at one of our events

About the lesson

Thanks for finding out more about learning to DJ with me. My most popular options are below, but we can tailor anything to your specific requirements.

Single Intro to DJing session:

I'll explain the basics of DJing to you, talk about what equipment you need if you don't already have it (doesn't have to be expensive), and we will do some practice on the decks. Lesson can be at a studio, face to face or online remote.

Intro to DJing Course (any combination of studio, face to face or online remote sessions)

6 hours (3 x 2 hour sessions)

Session 1: Recap of DJ decks functionality and step by step to mix any two tracks together, EQ, selecting the right tracks. Mixing with your own tracks

Session 2: Using FX, phrasing, mixing in key, planning your mix

Session 3: We create a 20-30 minute mix, then I will show you how and where to upload it.

DJ Full Course - (any combination of studio, face to face or online remote sessions)

10 Hours (5 x 2 hour sessions)

Sessions 1, 2 and 3: (Same as Intro course)

Session 4: Visit a studio to use industry standard Pioneer CDJs to practice record a 60 minute mix.

Session 5: Review the last session, and then record the 60 minute mix. (Note this session recorded by video and photo to be used in a promo press kit)

Free - additional service. At the end of your course I will help you promote your mix, and also provide advice on how to create a promo press kit.

Bonus - I will always be available to provide ongoing assistance in your DJ journey

I have a studio with Pioneer RX, DDJs, Technics 1210s and DJM-750 Mk2. Sessions can be conducted here.
