About Mark
I have been training in martial arts for over 40 years and hold a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu along with Black Belts in Karate, Kickboxing and Filipino Martial Arts. I am also a qualified instructor in Jeet Kune Do and Kali. My teaching style is professional yet approachable, making sure students feel supported, motivated and safe. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to expand your skills, I provide high-quality, structured training that inspires confidence and lasting progress.

My Approach to Teaching Martial Arts I teach Combined Fighting Arts (CFA), a modern, multi-discipline system that blends kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Martial Arts and practical self-defence. My focus is on helping students develop confidence, fitness, and real-world skills in a safe and welcoming environment. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with a balance of technique, drills, partner work and applied practice. Every session is tailored to the group, ensuring that both beginners and more experienced students are always learning and improving. I hold a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Black Belts in Karate, Kickboxing and Filipino Martial Arts, as well as instructor levels in Jeet Kune Do and Kali. I have been training since the early 1980s and teaching for over 30 years, so I understand how to break down complex techniques into clear, achievable steps. My sessions are open to teenagers and adults of all levels, whether you are a complete beginner looking to get fit and learn self-defence, or a martial artist wanting to expand your skillset with a multi-discipline approach. Above all, I believe training should be enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding.
