About Rebecca

Hi, I’m Rebecca from Beijing, now living in sunny Queensland, Australia. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of South Australia and love connecting with people from different cultures. I’m passionate about sharing my native language—Mandarin—and helping others explore Chinese culture in a fun, friendly way. With my own multicultural experiences and background in media and communication, I bring patience, creativity, and cultural insight to every class. Whether you’re planning a trip to China or simply want to learn a new language, I’m here to guide and support you on your learning journey!

About the lesson

My Mandarin lessons focus on practical communication and cultural understanding, especially for beginners and travelers. I create a relaxed and fun learning environment using real-life scenarios, travel stories, and interactive conversation practice. Lessons are typically 30 to 60 minutes and can be tailored to your goals—whether you’re preparing for a trip to China, learning basic phrases, or improving pronunciation. I don’t have formal teaching experience, but I’m passionate about multicultural exchange and have many international friends. I understand the challenges of learning a new language and will support you every step of the way. All ages and levels are welcome!

Rebecca is an extremely reliable person and she puts her full mind to whatever task she sets out for herself, I believe she will be a fantastic teacher. Her ability to communicate clearly really helps to establish her goals and I am certain she will be able to pass on her extensive mandarin knowledge to someone who is happy to learn it.
