About Kitha

Hi! I’m a native Mandarin speaker originally from Malaysia, now offering Mandarin lessons in New Zealand (online or in person). I grew up speaking Mandarin at home and also studied it formally up to SPM level, which is roughly equivalent to NCEA Level 2 here in NZ. On top of that, I’m fluent in English, Malay, and Hokkien, so I can easily adapt the lessons to suit your preferred language and learning style — especially helpful if you're just starting out!

About the lesson

What to Expect in My Lessons:
- Relaxed, friendly and student-focused classes
- I adjust lessons to your pace, level, and goals
- Focus on everyday conversation, pronunciation, and useful vocabulary
- Can include reading and writing if you want a more structured approach
- Great for learners who want to practise speaking in a judgement-free space

️ Lesson Info:
- 1-hour sessions
- Online NZ-wide, or in-person if you're nearby
- Flexible schedule – we can work out times that suit you!

Who I Teach:
- Primary school students
- High school and university students
- Adult learners and complete beginners
- Whether you're learning for school, travel, work, or just for fun, I’m here to make Mandarin approachable and enjoyable.

Feel free to message me if you’d like to chat before starting lessons — happy to answer any questions!
