Learn to make films [better] (former college instructor of Media Practices with 15 years one-on-one teaching experience)

Methodology

I take a student-centered approach to learning, where we create a course of study most effective for your goals. From audio recording, to writing, acting, editing, filming, and sourcing technology. I like to create a flexible program that can adapt as needs and interests change. I am positive, high-energy, and non-judgemental. I can help motivate, validate, and educate.

Background

Formerly an instructor at CU-Boulder in Critical Media Practices (in the College of Media, Communication, and Information). Before that, I taught for CU's colleges of Engineering and Music. Expert in sound and audio recording, filmmaking, editing, and digital storytelling. Have taught students in abstract, story-driven, and commercial film-making. We can work with your equipment and can help suggest or recommend upgrades as time passes. I have a great deal of experience helping with video essays, video applications (for college or magnet/private high schools), and creative video projects.
