Vining is a talented videographer, cinematographer, and story teller.
He's got years of experience in Nollywood with a lot of released movies, many of which were nominated for prestigious awards in Africa.
He has also worked as a video journalist for the BBC and Reuters New Agency.
It was at the BBC that we met, as we worked together on many productions for several years before he was poached by Reuters.
On one occasion, an important interview came up for our team unexpectedly, and Vining was out of town on holiday. He took me through a crash course via video call which lasted for less than 10 minutes, and I was able to film the interview myself.
At that time, I had zero ideo how to even power on a professional camera, but that crash course was enough to ensure we didn't miss that vital interview.
