About Mayank
I am an M.Sc. in Agricultural Meteorology from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar — Asia's largest agricultural university — and a UGC-NTA NET 2025 qualified researcher in Environmental Sciences, placing in the top 5% of graduate applicants nationally.
My academic journey blends core agronomic principles, climate science, and modern data tools to solve real-world agricultural problems. During my research I conducted field-based spectroradiometer experiments measuring crop canopy reflectance, analysed 45 years of weather data (1980–2025) to understand how long-term climate shifts influence crop growth and yield, and built Python pipelines for computing GDD, NDVI, NDWI, and yield prediction models using Random Forest and SVM machine learning algorithms. This work has resulted in 5 peer-reviewed publications and 3 manuscripts currently in preparation — including papers on AI-based yield estimation, climate change adaptation, and remote sensing applications in agriculture.
