About Sena

I am a linguist and tutor who has turned language learning into a systematic science. My journey began with native Turkish, expanded through fluent Russian, and reached academic mastery of Chinese — certified at HSK 6, the highest practical level. Along the way, I’ve also studied Korean, Japanese, and other languages, not just to speak them, but to understand how they work.

This multilingual background isn’t just a list — it’s my teaching toolkit. It allows me to see the hidden logic of Chinese: why its grammar is built on context and order, not rules; why characters are built from meaning, not just strokes. I don’t teach phrases — I teach understanding.

I work best with curious, committed learners — whether you're starting from zero or aiming for HSK 6 — who want to build Chinese from its foundation, not just memorize its surface.

About the lesson

I speak 7 languages, including native Turkish, fluent Russian, and Chinese at HSK 6 level. This lets me spot exactly where Russian or Turkish speakers struggle and explain things in a way that makes instant sense. I focus on real understanding, not just memorization, and prepare you for both the HSK exam and real conversation.
Chinese grammar is non-grammar. It's about word order, particles, and context — not conjugation or cases. I teach you to see sentences as meaning chains, not subject-verb puzzles. With characters, I don't teach strokes—I teach semantic roots: how 水 (water) shapes 河 (river), 海 (sea), 泪 (tear). You learn to read ideas, not just symbols.
As an HSK 6 holder and polyglot, I’ve decoded why characters and word order work the way they do — and I map it to how your mind already organizes meaning. I teach conceptual literacy, not just vocabulary lists, so you grasp the system before memorizing its parts.
