About Olumuyiwa
Here’s a clean, professional **“About Me”** you can use for a chess teacher profile. I’ll keep it neutral and adaptable—you can tweak details like rating, experience, or audience.
---
I’m a passionate chess instructor dedicated to helping students truly *understand* the game—not just memorize moves. My teaching focuses on building strong fundamentals, clear thinking, and confidence at the board.
I work with students of all levels, from complete beginners to competitive players, and tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, pace, and learning style. Whether you want to win more online games, prepare for tournaments, or simply enjoy chess without feeling overwhelmed, my approach is practical, structured, and supportive.
In my lessons, we focus on:
* Understanding ideas behind moves
* Developing strong opening principles
* Improving calculation and pattern recognition
* Learning how to think during real games
* Turning mistakes into learning opportunities
I believe chess is more than a game—it’s a powerful tool for improving decision-making, patience, and strategic thinking. My goal is to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and results-driven, so students see real improvement and enjoy the process.

“Do you like games where you outthink people?”
“Do you want to win more often?”
“Do you enjoy puzzles, competition, or improvement?”
Then frame chess as the tool, not the point.
“Chess is basically training your brain to spot patterns and make better decisions under pressure.”
