First, our method for Canadian French relies on pronunciation lessons with theoretical phonetics and listening, followed by practice.
Short conversations should be introduced early on and virtual flashcards will be used to learn new vocabularies.
An overview of the current French-speaking world with some history and relationship to other languages will also be covered.
As we progress, we will start introducing more advanced material from different styles, including popular media and classical literature.
At some point we will heavily focus on Canadian French, including the slangs and dialect forms which differ significantly from standard French. Students looking exclusively for standard French should look elsewhere.
