About Maria
If I have to think of one thing that has driven my success in my career is my passion for problem-solving. Every challenge opens new doors for learning and opportunities on how to use tools and resources available to you and that includes knowledge. The more you know the more value you bring to yourself your colleagues and any other asset in your life. I have not measured my success but the level of title I have achieved but rather by the number of people I have impacted either by motivating the masses to change a behavior by trying a new product or inspiring young professionals to pursue more education or diversifying their career experiences. I believe managers manage projects; leaders lead people. The latter is not given its inherent.

Taking complex technologies to the most important benefits and features so that it is explainable to both technical and non-technical persons. Learning is not about what is taught but what can be explained and understood. The best way to learn is to see how the technology works in application and why it matters to “me”. I don’t teach, I explain. Students will be expected to think. Students should be prepared to ask a lot of questions with some possible answers to their own questions; together we will evaluate those answers. This is not a technical coding lesson. This is about understanding the technologies, its considerations, and how they benefit individuals and industries. This class could be for any individual interested in understanding emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, sensors, VR/AR, and metaverse within business and consumer use.
