About Pearl

Hi! I’m Pearl, a law student and someone who has always enjoyed learning, communicating, and helping others understand things in a simpler way. My interest in teaching started in school, when I would help my classmates with topics they found difficult, and that eventually grew into a genuine passion for teaching.

I want to share my knowledge because I believe learning becomes more meaningful when you can pass it on to someone else. I also know that everyone learns differently, so I want my classes to be a space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, practice freely, and actually see yourself improving.
For me, teaching isn’t just about explaining a subject ...it’s about helping someone become more confident in what they know and how they use it.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centred, practical and interactive. We’ll learn through conversations, real-world situations, roleplays, discussions, and activities rather than relying only on textbooks. We’ll also work on pronunciation, accent, vocabulary, grammar and fluency naturally throughout the lessons. I’ll adapt the pace and difficulty according to your level and goals.

Usual structure of a class

A typical class can look like:

5 min: Warm-up conversation and revision
10–15 min: Introduce and practise the main topic/skill
10–15 min: Real-world activity, discussion
5 min: Feedback, corrections and new vocabulary
Final few minutes: Quick recap and what we’ll work on next

The structure can change depending on what we’re focusing on.
I’m patient, approachable and adaptable, and I want students to feel comfortable making mistakes. I focus on helping students actually use English confidently rather than simply memorising rules. I also like bringing real-life topics and the student’s own interests into lessons, so classes feel natural and relevant.
My classes are suitable for school students, college students and adults, particularly learners who want to improve their spoken English, vocabulary, pronunciation, confidence and everyday communication. We can also tailor lessons for specific academic, professional or conversational goals.
