About Lisa

I have led worship music within a Latin community for years, and that warm, communal background shapes almost everything about how I teach Spanish today. Thirteen years into teaching now, I've worked with about three hundred students, many of them drawn to connecting authentically with family or community, not just academic language study alone. I encourage students to think about language as a bridge to real relationships, not just an abstract skill to be mastered for its own sake alone. Listening practice uses real community conversation and warm, everyday media, exposing students to natural, authentic Spanish within a genuinely communal, relational context.
