About Kyra

Who I Am & Why I Teach

I’m an honest and genuine person with a lifelong love for singing and teaching. I used to be in the RAF Cadets, which I loved, but I soon realised that my true passion lies in creating music and sharing it with others. Over the years, singing has been a journey one that required dedication, commitment, and, above all, passion but it’s taught me skills and confidence that I’m excited to pass on.

My musical style is primarily neo-soul, pop, and alternative, and I also enjoy singing jazz. Alongside performing, I bring skills in songwriting and vocal theory, which I incorporate into my teaching to help students understand and develop their voices more deeply.

I love seeing my students grow and leave lessons feeling more confident and comfortable in their singing. I enjoy exploring what music means to each individual, understanding their goals, and helping them develop both their musical ear and vocal abilities. For me, teaching is about more than just technique it’s about connecting with students, nurturing their creativity, and helping them discover the joy of expressing themselves through music.

Singing & Songwriting Tutor | Confidence Building | Contemporary & Soul Vocals

Hi! I’m currently in my final year at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where I’ve trained in vocals, singing, and songwriting throughout my degree.

Music has been a huge personal journey for me, and I know first-hand how vulnerable singing can feel, especially when you’re nervous or lacking confidence. That’s why creating a safe, encouraging space is at the heart of my lessons.

I teach teens and adults of all levels, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your sound. I specialise in contemporary styles including R&B, jazz, pop, soul, neo-soul, indie, and alternative, so whatever your vibe is, we can explore it together and find what suits your voice best.

Alongside my performance training, I have a strong understanding of music theory as it relates to vocals, and I’m passionate about vocal health. Your voice is your instrument, and I’ll help you build technique safely, sustainably, and with confidence.

As an active producer and independent artist releasing my own music, I can also support you with songwriting, finding your unique sound, artist development, and understanding the music industry.

Lessons are available both online and in person, and are always tailored to you and your goals.

I truly believe everyone can sing, sometimes you just need the right guidance and someone who believes in you. I’d love to be part of your journey.
