About Kelly

I am language professional with a MA in Linguistics, three years of university level teaching experience, and experience living, traveling, and working in Spanish-speaking countries. I use my language ability in my work every day. I discovered a love for languages while studying Spanish in high school. As an adult I took on a teaching position in Spain which allowed me to be immersed more in the culture and the use of language. I have studied Spanish for years and traveled and lived in Spanish-speaking countries. I have also studied German (and traveled to German-speaking countries), and Arabic.

About the lesson

My teaching style involves both the study and explanation of grammar combined with practice to develop all four langue skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). My specialty is detailed explanations of grammar that you probably didn't learn the first time around. Working with me is a partnership–we will learn about what you want to learn and work towards your personal goals. I can help you review material you have been previously exposed to or teach you something new to get ahead. Established clients can also take advantage of study assistance for exams, and review of papers for assignments.
