About Quelin

I'm a professional Actress and have recently graduated from LAMDA. LAMDA is the oldest drama school in the UK and is continuously ranked amongst the top 5 in the world!
Prior to LAMDA I did National Youth Theatre and worked professionally for a couple of years.

I also have a 2:1 (1st Dissertation) BaHons in History and Criminology.

About the lesson

Simply put, my teaching methodology is: it's all about YOU.

Each learner is different, therefore I tailor my classes as such.
It's important for the learner to feel comfortable and at ease, and so our first lesson, I like to spend some time getting to know them. I use that time to assess what their strengths are and what areas their skills may need more attention. This gives me a better idea which LAMDA examination we should focus on, and most importantly, which grade!

LAMDA Exams that I teach:

- Introductory
- Communication: Public Speaking, Speaking Verse and Prose, Reading for Performance
- Performance: Acting, Devising, Miming.

What I can offer:

- Guidance in which LAMDA Examinations to take
- Flexibility to fit around my learner's school and after school activities.
- Regular lessons guiding the learner through the process of preparation, rehearsal and examination/performance prep.

Since then she has helped me with numerous self-tape auditions, English-accent work, and various contemporary & classical text work. Quelin has an especially good eye for script-analysis and I have gained so much knowledge from listening to her pick apart a script. She was a joy to learn from - providing me with thoughtful criticism and useful feedback each time we met. Quelin takes her coaching seriously but always maintains a playful, upbeat and kind spirit throughout the coaching session. The exercises she would guide me through were practical, fun and easy to incorporate into my routine as an actor and I continue to use them nearly every day! Her coaching has provided me confidence as a performer that I feel on the stage and see on the screen. I will certainly be calling her again for any audition/performance I may need help with.
