About Hafsa
I'm a dedicated and compassionate tutor with over five years of experience working with students aged 5-16 across KS2 and GCSE levels. Having qualified in Psychology and with extensive experience in the mental health field, I understand just how much pressure exams and academic expectations can place on young people. This awareness shapes my approach to tutoring- I aim to create a calm, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow in confidence. I became a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students overcome their challenges. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student’s mindset shift—from feeling stuck or anxious to feeling capable and motivated. I tailor each session to the individual, using patient, structured teaching methods alongside strategies that support focus, emotional wellbeing, and resilience. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them feel more confident in themselves along the way.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundational understanding, problem-solving confidence, and exam readiness. I use a mix of visual aids, step-by-step explanations, past exam questions, and interactive questioning to ensure students not only learn the methods but also understand why they work. Lessons are tailored to individual learning styles, whether visual or verbal, and I regularly assess understanding through mini-quizzes and recall activities. I aim to make studying less intimidating by breaking down complex topics into manageable parts, using real-life examples where possible. I also focus on exam technique: showing how to interpret questions, avoid common pitfalls, and maximise marks. Typical Lesson Length: 60/90 minutes I have over five years of tutoring experience, working with students aged 9 to 16 across KS3 and GCSE levels. My teaching approach is adaptable and student-focused, allowing me to effectively support a wide range of learning needs and abilities. I have particular experience working with students who have learning differences such as dyslexia, Autism and ADHD, using tailored strategies to help them engage with the material, build confidence, and make steady progress. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where every student can succeed at their own pace.
