About Lucy
I am a kind, friendly and flexible Primary School Teacher, based in Cambridge. I have worked with children for over 8 years and love getting to know families and children. I have taught in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms. I currently work full-time but tutor in the evenings.
I studied Childhood Studies with Management at the University of Bristol. I then completed a PGCE at the University of Cambridge. Following this I completed an MPHil in Education, Globalisation and International Development, focusing on teaching children with English as an additional language.
In 2023 I gained an MEd (masters) in Mathematics Education at the University of Cambridge.

I am happy to tailor my lessons to suit you and your child! I am creative so will ensure lessons are active and practical. I firmly believe that students should enjoy tutoring sessions so I will do anything I can to ensure the lessons are exciting and interesting. I have an extensive understanding of the maths national curriculum and over 4 years teaching mathematics. I also have experience teaching children with a huge range of special education needs (ASD, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay).
