About Kat
I started playing piano at the young age of 6, and have continued into my adulthood. I started teaching piano lessons at age 12, and studied various other instruments, including voice through college. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Vocal Performance, and have remained passionate, excited, and absolutely in LOVE with music and teaching throughout my life.
I was lucky to have had great teachers for many years. I also had plenty of "bad" teachers who weren't excited about their subject, didn't care about their students, and they weren't patient or creative.
I have learned as much from good teachers as bad ones. The key is to LOVE what you're teaching, and to care about your students. I'm so excited to share my love of music with you, and to help you navigate the challenges that come with learning and practicing a new skill.
