About Karas
Hi, I'm Karas! I'm a 13-year-old Egyptian Australian with a passion for helping children learn to read Arabic. Growing up speaking Arabic at home and studying it throughout primary school has given me a strong understanding of the language and how to explain it clearly to younger learners.
I'm patient, friendly, and believe every child learns at their own pace. My goal is to make lessons enjoyable while helping students build confidence and develop strong reading skills step by step. I take pride in creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and celebrating their progress.

My lessons are designed to help children build strong Arabic reading skills in a fun and supportive environment. I begin by teaching the Arabic alphabet, then introduce the different vowel signs and pronunciation rules. Once students are confident with the basics, we move on to reading simple words before gradually progressing to more challenging words and short passages at a pace that suits each learner.
Lessons typically last 30–45 minutes, depending on the student's age, confidence, and skill level.
I studied Arabic through to Year 6 and consistently achieved A grades in the subject. As an Egyptian Australian who speaks Arabic fluently, I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I love working with children and am passionate about helping them grow in confidence while making learning enjoyable.
My lessons are ideal for beginners and primary school students up to Year 6 who want to learn or improve their Arabic reading skills.
