About Sydney
My name is Sydney Dardis and I recently graduated with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Arts from The Juilliard School. I also received my Bachelor of Music Degree at Juilliard as well.
This past 2024/2025 season, I joined The Florida Grand Opera as a studio artist where I performed a myriad of roles onstage. I also performed roles with Central City Opera, Aspen Music Festival, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Denver Opera House, The Lakes Area Music Festival, New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra, and The New
York Philharmonic.
In 2023, I was honored to be named a New York District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Beyond performing, I am a passionate teacher to students of all ages and levels!

I am a Juilliard-trained professional opera singer (BM, MM) with a deep passion for teaching.
With over four years of teaching experience both online and in person, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a diverse roster of students of all ages and skill levels. While teaching, I have had the pleasure of performing with: Florida Grand Opera, Central City Opera, Aspen Music Festival, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Denver Opera House, The Lakes Area Music Festival, New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra, and The New York Philharmonic.
I believe in creating a safe space for students of all ages to express themselves and find their inner voice. I specialize in boosting confidence and building a healthy vocal technique from the ground up. I believe in assessing each students’ specific needs and creating a lesson plan around their unique strengths and growth-points (I do not
believe in a one-size-fits-all approach). I instill a positive and fun learning environment that keeps students inspired and curious to learn more!
I have experience teaching all levels of learning in any style/genre. From very beginner to professional, my extensive experience allows me to meet any student where they are.
