About Jordyn

(concealed information) My teaching philosophy centers around celebrating the uniqueness of each learner. I firmly believe that through structured exploratory play, the mastery of dance concepts becomes an organic part of the learning journey. It's the sheer joy of moving and the thrill of problem-solving that ignite the flames of artistry within my students. I'm passionate about helping them discover their movement potential, enabling them to harness their kinesthetic experiences more effectively. As we approach the stage or embark on creating more structured choreography, my aim is to empower dancers to identify and incorporate qualities that resonate deeply within the dance form. It's your class! I am most interested in discovering what it is you're looking to get out of dance education. Whether it be training for a pre-collegiate dance program, engaging in a new hobby with no dance experience, seeking dance entertainment for a kids birthday party or looking to spend more creative 1-on-1 time with your little one, you've come to the right place! - Creative Movement - Dance Technique (Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Modern)

About the lesson

I specialize in enriching movement experiences for a diverse range of individuals, spanning from toddlers as young as 18 months to adults of all ages. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Dance Performance & Choreography as well as a PreK-12 certification in Dance Education from Towson University, and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Dance Education from TU. My passion for dance education has led me to develop innovative dance programs and craft curriculum for Baltimore County Public Schools. Additionally, I share my expertise as an instructor at TU Community Dance and Potomac Glen Day School while also dedicating my time to The Movement Endeavor.

Perfect! Jordyn is wonderful! She's been teaching creative movement and dance to my elementary school daughters for a few months now. Her classes are engaging, creative, and fun. She absolutely knows her craft and works extremely well with young children.
She is patient and encouraging. Jordyn can simply do it all -- from building confidence in young dancers to teaching fundamental technical skills. I feel very lucky to have found her!

Jordyn is an amazing dance instructor for my children. She brings a very creative and age-appropriate approach to teaching. Her teaching style allows my children to learn from an academic and social-emotional standpoint, all while using their bodies to learn movement and control. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to incorporate fun and creative ways for children to learn to dance.
