About Lisa
I made the exciting decision to move from Vienna, Austria, to the vibrant city of Hong Kong, where I have the wonderful opportunity to teach English in a kindergarten. This transition has been a remarkable adventure, allowing me to immerse myself in a new culture while sharing my passion for the English language with young learners.
In my experience, I firmly believe that the key to mastering English, or any language for that matter, lies in utilizing the right tools and methods. It’s not simply about rote memorization; rather, it's crucial to combine a strong grammatical foundation with engaging and interesting content that captivates students' attention. When learners are intrigued by what they are studying, they are much more likely to absorb the material.

Teaching Philosophy and Methodology
I use a communicative methodology that emphasizes real-world language use over rote memorization, integrating diverse resources like literature and multimedia to engage students meaningfully.
Scaffolding and Differentiation
Scaffolding is central to my teaching. I design lessons that build on prior knowledge, allowing students to progress from simpler to more complex concepts and fostering confidence.
Lesson Duration
Each 60-minute lesson allows ample time for introducing new concepts, practicing skills, and reflecting on outcomes. I structure lessons with varied activities—reading, speaking, and listening—to maintain an engaging atmosphere and reinforce language skills.
