About Edward

Hey there! This is Edward. I specialize in helping English speakers learn Italian from zero using a structured, CEFR-based approach. My lessons are clear, practical, and focused on helping you start speaking with confidence from the very beginning.

I am a native Spanish speaker and an experienced language tutor, currently teaching English, Spanish, and beginner Italian to students at different levels. As a language learner myself (currently studying German), I understand the challenges and will guide you step by step.

About the lesson

The goal is to communicate, not to be perfect. Speaking from the beginning is essential, and mistakes are a natural part of the learning process. I help you build confidence first, while we gradually improve your accuracy and understanding of the language.

My lessons follow a structured, CEFR-based approach, allowing you to clearly track your progress over time. Each session is adapted to your level and goals, combining guided practice, practical communication, and targeted feedback to ensure steady and effective improvement.

Perfect! I've taken 3 classes now with Edward and you can tell he enjoys teaching and has a passion for the language. He makes the lessons engaging and interesting. I will have a 4th lesson this coming week. It's definitely not an easy language, but with Edward's dedication and patience, I'm going to make progress. Give him a try. I did.

He taught me English, not Italian, but I had a great experience learning with him. I really appreciated that his lessons never felt like simply going through a textbook, he put real thought into making them useful and interesting. I could genuinely see my progress throughout the lessons, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to improve their skills in a second language.

I really enjoyed my lessons with Edward. I was especially struggling with Italian pronunciation, and he took the time to correct me and explain why certain words sounded different from what I expected. He is easy to talk to and never makes you feel embarrassed when you make a mistake. I would definitely take lessons with him again!
