About Vanessa
As a pianist, I have been named to CBC's (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) list of top 30 under 30 classical musicians and performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and the Vienna Konzerthaus. Having garnered prizes at international piano competitions, I have experience in performance and expertise in a variety of repertoire. I enjoy working with children/teens, college/university-aged students, and adults, and can help with competition/exam/audition preparation or day-to-day practice.
I have been teaching one-on-one lessons, group classes, and workshops for over seven years. In addition to maintaining an active private studio, I have taught in a range of educational settings including U.S. universities, public schools, and private pre-college academies. My students have won awards at regional and provincial level competitions, and achieved distinction results (90%+) on RCM exams–but more importantly, we have nurtured a love for music. Having adjudicated and taught masterclasses in the GTA, I am familiar with the RCM and festival system and know what to look for.

With experience as a performer, teacher, adjudicator, and workshop clinician, I am happy to teach and tutor/coach in the following areas:
Classical piano – RCM levels 1 through LRCM and college/university level
Music theory – RCM levels 1 through ARCT
