About Maria
I am a graduate student, dancer and I have been giving lessons to students ranging from the age of 5 to 12 years old. I am passionate about children, and they're learning, and this is something I would like to pursue as a career. During the past few summer holidays, I have spent at least two weeks at a children's camp where I taught them new things and we went through their syllabus, which included maths, English, and basic knowledge skills for them to learn for their next school year. I am partially sensitive to children's learning and would love to be part of the process of getting them to achieve and enjoy success.

My teaching methodology is to motivate children by showing enthusiasm and making sure that they will never give up. Throughout my teaching experiences, I realized how important motivation is and how much it can help and I also make sure to properly support the student when they are struggling. I base my classes on relating what I’m teaching to real life situations and it surely makes the children get a better understanding. I also include small breaks throughout my lessons for the kids to have a “brain break” for around 5 -7 minutes.
I approach each topic by making sure the kids are looking forward to learning about it and by showing them an introduction video of what we are going to learn before I commence. This helps giving them an idea to what’s coming.
