About Amelia
The first session is an assessment. We observe your posture. You will receive a clear roadmap for your technical development immediately.
We focus heavily on bowing technique, including spiccato and staccato, to ensure your sound is vibrant and controlled. My BMus training ensures that we prioritize ear training and accurate tuning from the very start. I guide you through grade exam preparation for ABRSM or Trinity with a steady, systematic approach.
We build your skills through repetition and careful analysis. The results speak for themselves as we progress through the repertoire at your own pace.

Violin pedagogy is often treated as a rigid science, but the most effective learning happens when we embrace the MUSICAL POETRY hidden within every scale. I have successfully guided 326 students by treating the instrument as an extension of the human voice. My BMus from UdeM provides the technical foundation, while my life as a chamber musician provides the artistic soul. I find that balancing technical precision with expressive curiosity is the only way to sustain long-term growth.
Whether you are self-taught and looking for structure or a seasoned player refining your craft, the process remains rooted in deep listening. It is a joy to watch a student finally find their authentic sound through diligent practice.
