About Preston
With 12 years of experience as a violin tutor, I am passionate about sharing my love for music and helping students achieve their learning goals. I teach high school students, college students, and elderly learners with a focus on personalized and supportive lessons.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have successfully taught around 150-200 students and helped them improve their violin skills, confidence, and musical expression. I believe every student has a unique learning style, and I adjust my lessons to meet their individual needs.
My teaching approach is based on patience, encouragement, and practical learning. I focus on making lessons simple, engaging, and effective while helping students develop strong musical foundations.
I teach important violin skills such as technique improvement, rhythm control, tone development, music reading, and performance preparation. I also motivate students to practice regularly and enjoy their progress.
A significant milestone in my career has been helping students successfully progress from beginners to confident players. Seeing their dedication and improvement is the greatest reward for me.
I am committed to creating a learning experience that inspires students and helps them achieve their full musical potential.

My goal is to make violin lessons enjoyable, engaging, and rewarding. Communication is an important part of my teaching because it allows students to understand concepts clearly and ask questions confidently. Accountability helps students develop discipline through structured practice routines and measurable goals.
Integrity ensures that every lesson is fair, encouraging, and focused on individual growth. Lessons include posture, bow control, scales, rhythm, tone quality, finger placement, and expressive performance. Besides violin, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm development, music appreciation, and beginner composition.
