About Katie
Hello!
My name is Katie.
I am a native English speaker and I love learning languages and meeting people from different countries!
As someone with more than 20 years' experience of learning foreign languages, I understand the difficulties of learning a new language and not being able to say what you want or understand what other people are saying. I also know a lot about being afraid to make mistakes!
But... making mistakes is how we learn! I have lots of tips I will share with you to help you to become a more confident speaker of English.
I offer online private lessons to adults at intermediate level (B1/B2) and above. Whilst I welcome all students, I feel I have something extra to offer Italian students. I speak Italian, and I understand the challenges Italians face in learning English.

My classes are designed to meet your individual needs and interests. For our classes, I will make suggestions, guided by what you want. At the end of each class, we will agree the topic for the next class.
In addition to helping you to improve your English in general, I can also provide specific help (for example, support in writing a CV or job application in English, preparing for a job interview or going on holiday to the UK).
My background and what I am offering to you:
• BSc (Hons) Degree Psychology and Italian.
• An A-Level Qualification in English Language and Literature.
• An excellent understanding of the English language.
• An accent that is very easy for foreigners to understand.
• A patient, attentive and supportive learning environment for you.
• 20 years' experience as a foreign language learner including a good understanding of many European languages.
• TEFL Diploma Level 5 Qualification (currently studying)
• Extensive experience living abroad (including Italy) and living and working with non-native English speakers.
• A passion for helping people to overcome challenges and become more confident speakers.
• Experience teaching English online to adults (private classes).
