About Alex
After I graduated in Photographic and Electronic Imaging Science I then spent 23 years working for a photographic lighting company. In that time I specced out professional studios , consulted for photographers on particular techniques, shot product and portrait images, helped to develop products and much more. During that time I've come to understand some of the best ways to explain the fundamentals, techniques and methods to people with a range of photographic abilities.
Whether you're a hobbyist, student of photography or a business looking to take photography in-house, I can help you.

Lessons can be at your home (or business) and are typically 1hr to ½day.
I believe that a good understanding of the fundamentals will allow you to adapt to whatever photographic scenario you find yourself in. For example; rather that tell you what aperture and shutter speed to use, I'll teach you what effect they have on your images (and why) so you can make decisions based on your creative vision.
Photographers have been coming to me with their challenges for many years. I take pride in not only telling them how they can complete a job but why the techniques I've shown them work.
With a mixture of analogy, examples, and hands on training I'll help you improve your photography whether it's as a hobbyist, student or business.
