About Shayna
I have always had a keen interest in all aspects of the English language, and I greatly enjoy sharing this passion for communication and expression with the people I work with.
Whether it's Business English, Test Prep, or general Social English, I do whatever I can to help motivate, encourage, and build confidence in those seeking to further their language skills and reach their English goals.
I think personalization of each lesson and lesson plan is key, so I am always open to feedback and input from the learners themselves. The more relevant the sessions are to their immediate needs, the more we can accomplish!

I have 17 years of experience teaching in-person and online classes to children and adults all around the world.
I am a certified Canadian ESOL instructor with a B.A. in Humanities from the University of Toronto. I am also an IELTS specialist and educational consultant who was based out of Japan for almost 9 years.
I have taught in private language schools, universities, corporate businesses, and online with companies in Japan, South Korea, China, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.
I have also been featured on numerous educational English language TV and radio programs in Japan, and was a co-editor of a successful IELTS textbook.
