I believe that anyone at any age is capable of picking up on something and progressing in that area. I believe that clear communication and creating a safe space for both parties is the first step of a quality lesson. A lesson would be about 50 minutes, but changes can be made depending on the context. While I have given tennis lessons to adults, I have also given French lessons to 12-year-olds. I have worked with a wide range of clients, however, not younger than 12.
