About Victoria
I have been studying the language for years, from both a literature and historical side. I am also a humanities student and would be an excellent fit if you are looking for someone to analyze your writing. While I am young, I do believe this helps me engage with my students more because it is less intimidating. I use my age to my advantage and keep my lesson plans up to date, changing them based on the students strengths and weaknesses.

Hello, I am at Whitman College studying Hispanic studies, though I've been studying the language for a lot longer. I understand what it is like to start learning a language, especially what trips up students who initially are coming from an English background. I've worked with students learning the language before and love to have the student immediately start speaking, since I believe it allows the student to use and implement what they are learning. Likewise, I like to focus on one topic for a longer stretch of time in various ways—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—because it is the most effective for long-term comprehension. I do believe that returning to grammatical topics is important, and just because a unit is done does not mean you are free from grammatical rules. I'm happy to meet you where you are and have you respond to questions and learning on day one. Furthermore, I am offering my services for $25 an hour. I will ask my students what they are interested in to tailor their readings and writings accordingly. Lesson plans will vary from student to student but will all involve writing, reading, and speaking—the basics of the language. I am here to help students starting their language journey, helping to kickstart their interest in the language.
