About Elgin
I am a Black belt holder in the sport of karate.
Many years ago I was bullied and mugged on my way back from school and it left a scar on me, so I decided it would never happen again
I undertook not just karate, but boxing, and also the Israeli Krav Maga defense courses as an adult.
These essential skills I have gained have made me more confident as I move about and have helped the people in my life stay safe and they can help you too.

As someone who studies and observes the human potential and the physical limits of his students, my approach to teaching a contact sport like karate and self-defense is by understudying the needs and capabilities of my studies
I have authored two textbooks on karate and taught as an assistant sensei( coach) and sensei to private students
I teach kids and adults alike.
