Dear
I’m writing to highly recommend Mr. Daley as a potential candidate for the online tutor position at your esteemed organization. As a student at Beijing Academy for the past seven years, I have had the privilege of being taught by Mr. Daley in multiple subjects, including Literature, AP Art History, and Drama. Throughout this time, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible impact Mr. Daley has on his students and how he truly goes above and beyond to inspire and support us in achieving our daily goals.
Mr.Daley possesses a unique combination of qualities that make him an exceptional educator. He is highly organized, and his classes are always well-structured, making it easy for us as students to follow along and understand complex concepts. For example, for the AP
Art History, he would tell us the term plan at the beginning of each semester based on the time we had and knowledge on the curricula. Additionally, he would assign the final project early in the semester to give us enough time to prepare and accomplish our tasks. Such an organized teaching style ensures that we could cover all concepts within a limited period of time with a logical schedule.
Moreover, his passion for teaching is evident in every lesson, as he brings the subjects to life with enthusiasm and creativity. Whether discussing a literary masterpiece, exploring the nuances of art history, or engaging in dramatic performances, Mr. Daley's fervor ignites a love for learning within all of his students.
What sets Mr. Daley apart is his innate ability to infuse humor into his teaching, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere in the classroom. By using humor strategically, he creates a comfortable environment that encourages students to participate actively and feel confident in expressing their ideas. This inclusive approach fosters a strong sense of community within the class and promotes a collaborative learning experience. His humor is evident in the two original dramas produced by our drama club, as they are all comedies. During our creative process, because his humorous ideas always ornament our dramas and make them even more engaging.
One of Mr. Daley's most commendable qualities is his unwavering dedication to his students' success and well-being. He takes the time to understand each student's strengths and weaknesses, tailoring his instruction to meet individual needs. Mr. Daley acts as a mentor and is always willing to provide guidance and support beyond the classroom, assisting us in our academic pursuits and personal growth.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Daley as an online tutor. His dedication, passion, sense of humor, and practical approach to teaching make him an exceptional candidate for the role. I have no doubt that his presence as an online tutor will have a positive and lasting impact on students, just as he has had on me and my peers at Beijing Academy.
Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information or insights about Mr. Daley's teaching capabilities. I am confident that he will be an invaluable asset to your organization and will inspire countless students to thrive academically and creatively.
Thank you for considering my recommendation. I genuinely believe that Mr. Daley's expertise and commitment will make a significant difference in the lives of those he tutors.
Sincerely,
Emily Zhang
The knowledge of Mr. Daley spans a considerable number of subjects, including drama, literature, psychology, history of art, and many others. As remarkable as his extensive knowledge is his deep understanding in these fields, and he is always well immersed in the materials he is responsible to teach. For example, in art history lectures, when we encountered a new work of art, Mr. Daley would quickly draw on works we learnt in the past having similar forms or themes, and we were thus equipped with a comparative lens to better understand art and remember new materials. Breadth and profundity combined, he is able to deliver classes that are highly enriching. He is witty and tries to inject fun into the subjects, so that students never know boredom. Outside of classes, Mr. Daley discusses with us music, cinema, and host of other topics, so students feel that he is more of a close friend than a formidable authority. It is certainly an amazing experience to learn with Mr. Daley.
Mr. Daley was absolutely one of my favorite teachers. He kindled my passion for psychology, drama, and film, which eventually inspired my later documentaries. The humorous yet professional introduction and expansion enliven the knowledge in our textbooks; every term and sentence is built in our minds with impressive stories that either came from Mr. Daley's rich personal experience or extensive reading and knowledge. With Mr. Daley’s humorous comments, vivid acting, and rich insight, the challenging yet engaging drama and film practices brought us joy, curiosity, and imagination.
Mr. Daley's respect and encouragement for students' creativity and diversity fueled our critical thinking and self-study abilities as well. As we analyze cases in class or do case studies as assignments, Mr. Daley never failed to encourage and guide us to express and expand on our thoughts before making comments on the points we made. Although I often worry about being criticized and denied in class, Mr. Daley's psychology and drama courses never failed to be safe spaces for me to self-express and explore through inclusive and engaging discussions,
Last but not least, all the qualities and abilities that I have learned from Mr. Daley and his classes were long-lasting and incredibly beneficial. The expansion of knowledge of clinical psychology and neuroscience, along with interesting practices such as Draw Something and analysis of films and videos on mental illnesses, have brought me to the field of psychology and confirmed my curiosity in humanities. Creativity, leadership, teamwork, and empathy were what our drama and film practices have shaped me with.
Jason: Mr. Daley taught me World history and literature in a very engaging style. He brings the class to life by using project-based learning methods. When we learned a new concept or theme, be it Medieval Universities, Romanticism, or Conquistadors, we were assigned into groups specifically to a certain category of the theme and were encouraged to research materials. For example, when covering the Conquistadors, my group was assigned to focus on Juan Ponce de León. By the end of the week, we present our findings either by a traditional presentation, a drama, or a rap song. When covering the Midsummer’s Night Dream during literature, Mr. Daley encouraged us to be creative, and we designed a rap song based on the original lines of Lysander and Hermia. In my final project on World History, Mr. Daley gave me the idea of using a comedy show where I interviewed 3 deadliest pathogens. In general, Mr. Daley is a humorous and inspiring teacher. He played a great role in cultivating my passion for humanities.
Rachel: Mr. Daley is a wonderful and creative teacher. I not only learn much but also find myself constantly relaxed and having fun in his class, both in literature which I enjoy, and History which I don’t enjoy much. His classes are always surprising, for example in literature we explore poetry through rap performances and short stories through drama. He teaches a variety of classes from film, history, art history, psychology, and literature.
Livia: Mr. Daley is an amazing teacher. His classes were extremely interactive, professional, and enjoyable. He encouraged me to be active and relaxed in his drama club. He directed me to explore history through raps, dramas, and papers. He gave me incredible masterpieces to read in his literature class. Mr. Daley is one of the best teachers I've ever met, and I would strongly recommend him to any teaching platform.
Sophia: I was in Mr. Daley's introductory world history & literature classes. From an academic standpoint, his depth of knowledge is truly remarkable and well-rounded. He is enthusiastic about teaching and often freestyles off of ppts. We really enjoyed those spontaneous discussions. He also often orchestrates unique class projects, for example, he asked us to make rap music based off of Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night's Dream”. It was a memorable experience that still bring a smile to my face. Furthermore, I've heard good things about Mr. D's introductory art history class from a senior student. He is genuinely interested in art, and often takes his students to museums. His dedication to fostering a passion for the arts speaks volumes about his teaching approach. Although I wasn't personally involved in his drama club, I know he invested a lot of time in it. He taught my peers who were passionate about theatre and convinced the school to stage an original play. I have no doubt that Mr.D’s dynamic personality and engaging teaching methods will continue to captivate and inspire students.
Kevin: Good teacher!Mr.Daley's is one of my favorite teachers during the years he's at my school. His classes are both entertaining and informative, and allows us students to retain the information easily. I took Mr.Daley's pre-AP Literature and Film classes, as well as AP Psychology and US History. For his Psychology course, he incorporated a fun experiment into each class, while in US History he uses a variety of videos for a better image of historical events. Thanks to this, I was able to earn a 5 on my AP US History exam. It was really fun being his student for two years. Outside classes, his drama club was also great, and was among the most popular clubs.
Mr. Daley values groupwork, ensuring that everyone can contribute different perspectives and gets the most out of his classes. His classes are well-paced and he teaches in a variety of formats; in AP Psychology, after introducing information from the textbook, he often leads the class to conduct experiments and often expands on required material; this not only makes concepts easier to understand but also makes the learning experience very enjoyable. Overall, Mr. Daley is a great teacher and humorous person; there’s always a lot to learn from him, both inside and outside of classes.
Mr. Daley has a great sense of humor that always keeps the whole class engaged. He promotes open discussions and finds ways to connect knowledge to real life through enjoyable experiments and relatable examples, making the most complex concepts relatable and easy to grasp.
