About Dr

I am a PhD-qualified Mathematics educator with more than 10 years of teaching, tutoring, and academic mentoring experience across Canada, the United Kingdom, and India. I also hold an MEd in Education Studies and recently completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mathematics at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

I support students following Canadian provincial mathematics curricula, from middle and high school through university level. I can assist with foundational mathematics, algebra, functions, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, pre-calculus, calculus, and university mathematics, as well as homework, assignments, test preparation, and strengthening areas where students may be struggling.

My teaching approach is personalized to each student. I first identify their current understanding, learning gaps, and academic goals, and then explain concepts using clear, step-by-step methods. I encourage students to understand the reasoning behind mathematics rather than simply memorize formulas.

I particularly enjoy helping students who feel that mathematics is difficult or who have lost confidence in the subject. My goal is to create a patient and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, improve their problem-solving skills, and gradually become confident and independent learners.

I can support students who want to improve their grades, strengthen their mathematical foundation, prepare for tests or university, or gain a deeper understanding of mathematics.

About the lesson

I have been teaching mathematics for more than ten years, working with students from school level to undergraduate, postgraduate, engineering, and research levels. My aim is always to make mathematics feel clear, approachable, and meaningful rather than difficult or intimidating.

I usually begin by understanding the student’s current level, learning needs, and the areas where they feel less confident. From there, I explain each topic step by step, starting with the basic idea and gradually moving toward more advanced problems. I use simple explanations, worked examples, visual methods, and regular practice so that students understand the reasoning behind each solution instead of only memorizing formulas.

A typical lesson includes a quick review of previous learning, a clear explanation of the new concept, guided examples, practice questions, and feedback at the end. I also adjust the pace and teaching style according to each student, because every learner understands mathematics differently.

My experience teaching in India, the United Kingdom, and Canada has helped me work with students from many different backgrounds and academic levels. I am patient, supportive, and always encourage students to ask questions freely. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills.

I offer lessons in foundational mathematics, school mathematics, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Topology, Complex Analysis, and many other pure and applied mathematics subjects.
