About Ian
I’m Ian Oakley. I’m a media production professional of 30 years, a musician, a community builder, husband, father and worshipper.
I have a head for systems and solutions, and believe wholeheartedly in the importance of human creativity.

Having worked in the video production industry for 30 years plus, I’ve seen many approaches and trends come and go. Even with the onset of AI taking over our cognitive processing, there’s still a high value based in having a working knowledge of how to create good communication - for whatever purpose - corporate comms, entertainment etc.
I’ve a good working knowledge of what works, what doesn’t and how best to achieve effective results.
I’ve run a successful production company for 25 years, working with a range of talent, have a broad pool of freelance talent that I also draw on for specific knowledge. I’ve produced (directed and edited) documentaries for cinema, content for large format screens, event production, multi camera shoots, documentary/charity films, aerial filming, often as a one man band, shooting and editing as I go for some of the world’s leading brands.
I’m interested in the promotion of genuine, human creativity and what it looks like to capture and tell a great story. So I’ve a fair bit of experience to share, technical or otherwise.
