About Carlie

I'm a native English speaker (Australian) and have over 4 years English language teaching experience. I curently work at at highly regarded English language college in Sydney. I teach General English, Business English, Academic English and exam preparation classes, including Cambridge PET and Cambridge FCE. I teach all levels, from Beginner (A1) through to Advanced (C1).

Additionally, I have 10 years corporate work experience in marketing, communications, internal communications, speech writing and employee engagement. I am well-equipped to guide you through improving your Business English and developing workplace communication skills and vocabulary.

I absolutely love working with people and I bring good humour, dynamic teaching methods and all-round friendly vibes to my lessons. A favourite comment from a previous student is: "Carlie teaches with her heart and soul!"

My lessons involve actively guiding you through conversation, improving your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills focusing on pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary as well.

In the first meeting I usually assess your level, needs and expectations in order to effectively structure my lessons.
