About Katie

Hello! My name is Katie and I am a well-prepared, professional online Spanish tutor who focuses on working with IB, A-level and GCSE students, preparing them for their Spanish exams.

My qualifications?

I am currently enrolled in a Master's at the Complutense de Madrid, the top University in Spain, where I study International Relations in Spanish. I also graduated last year from the University of Bristol with a First Class Honours in BA French and Spanish and distinction in both spoken languages.

I've lived in mainland Spain, Argentina, Costa Rica and the Canary Islands and so am familiar with the varieties of Spanish.

I am a friendly, outgoing person with a strong passion for language learning, which allows me to empathise with the challenges you may face. I'm eager to share my knowledge and guide you on your language-learning journey!

About the lesson

I teach my classes on zoom and use a variety of methods tailored to suit the tutee's needs.

A typical lesson involves a short grammar lesson, engaging conversation practice, and then reading, writing or listening. I make sure to tailor all my lessons to the student's exam board specification and give you key tips to help you achieve the grades you want.

Many of my students have started with me not enjoying the language and come away wanting to keep it going to A-Level or further!

Perfect! Katie is currently tutoring my Yr 8 daughter who had become quite uninterested in languages at school. Since spending time with Katie my daughter now thoroughly enjoys and can confidently participate in her Spanish lessons at school, even receiving a commendation from her teacher. I can't recommend Katie enough to any parent wanting to boost their Childs Spanish learning experience and help their confidence grow.
