About Marie
I graduated with straight As and A+s from Riverdale Country School and worked both as a mentor and a tutor with students throughout my time there. Specifically, I tutored high school and middle school students in French and English. I also helped integrate seventh and ninth graders into their new middle and high school environments. I hope to continue working with students throughout my time at UChicago (a top 6 national university.)

I provide many strategies that allow students to understand the point and efficiently analyze both school and ACT reading passages (by looking for key words, quotations, and tone). I also love to make reading enjoyable as I believe this can be done from simply picking a passage of text and interpreting it not how you think the author interprets it, but how you'd interpret it yourself.
