About Amy
Hi! I’m a senior Elementary Education major with a minor in Reading and over five years of tutoring experience in reading and math. I also work as an elementary school associate, giving me daily hands-on experience supporting students.
I love helping students have those “light bulb” moments when something finally clicks! I believe every student learns differently, so I focus on finding what works best for each child while making learning fun, comfortable, and encouraging. My goal is to help students build skills, confidence, and a love for learning while giving them the support they need to shine!

When I work with students on reading, I want to make sure they feel supported, encouraged, and successful. I enjoy finding different ways to explain a skill until it finally makes sense to the student. One of my favorite parts of tutoring is seeing those “light bulb” moments when a student suddenly understands something they were struggling with. I try to figure out what works best for each student because every student learns differently. My goal is not only to help students improve their reading skills, but also to help them become more confident in themselves as learners. I want students to see their own growth, recognize what they are capable of, and feel proud of what they can accomplish. Most importantly, I want to help each student shine and continue to grow at their own pace.
