About John
At 13, I was overweight. At 15, I became addicted to video games. I tried to avoid all forms of social contact, even with my own family. What was there to talk about? Even mom couldn’t care less about the dragon I slayed in the game, I had no self-values. I felt terribly isolated like It was only me in this dungeon️, while everyone outside seemed so normal and happy. Feeling overly ashamed to ask for help, I buried myself deeper in gaming to escape the harsh reality. However, each time I had to interact with people, anxiety kept surging up, one day It passed my breaking point. I could not live this way, I had to make changes.
A year later, my physique has totally transformed, but significantly more important is my mental. I gained self-belief. I striked for my goals, even if that is to go against other people’s opinions, because I trust in my values and beliefs. Till now, fear and social anxiety have never disappeared. The more people I engage with, the bigger they become, but the more I believe in myself, the easier I overcome them.
Although I have seen some who overcame the journey themselves, I have also seen some who did not make it all alone. Regardless, I endorse we should all have partners because of support and motivation during hard times. With It you reach your goals quicker , without It you can still reach your goals but more difficult and time consuming️, not to account for more chances you may quit along the way.
Experienced mentor have gone through the pain, the unnecessary miseries to find the best path️ for you. Why risk suffering, when you can avoid
If I was to have the fitness and mental knowledge I have now, I would need 4 months less to get the same result. That’s 4 months of time️ and suffering.
Yes, that 4 months provided me mental capcityBut for physical result, I did not gain anything and I rather choose to spend that mental capacity to learn new skills. Only reason I did not have mentor was because I was mistaken in the false reality that no one would understand me, that I was alone. So, if asked, I was going to get laughed at, and get even more sad.
