About Eilidh
I am a friendly, enthusiastic, and patient graduate. I have just finished my degree in English and Philosophy at Edinburgh University, and my specialists lie in English, Philosophy and Drama. I love working with children of all ages, and in the past I have volunteered with my local youth group for ages 7-16, and run theatre workshops for university students. Having been through the Scottish education system I am ready to teach Scottish school curriculum courses, or to teach on a more holistic basis. Having been received tutoring when I was at school for subjects I struggled in, I know first hand the benefits of working one to one to develop confidence.
Learning can feel frustrating and disengaging at times. In my lessons, I aim to help each student find their own unique approach to the subject, to spark an interest and a connection with topics. Every student is different and I believe in working with students to develop fully tailored lessons. At the moment, the Covid-19 pandemic is causing lots of students to feel stressed and directionless. I hope to take an active approach, and to creatively cater lessons to keep students on track and satisfied with their learning.
