About Amelia
Growing up in San Juan meant I spoke Spanish before I learned to write, which is just how language works for me. I moved to Australia to share my heritage and have spent 13 years refining how I teach Latin American variants. My experience includes working with kids and teens as well as adults prepping for the DELE or IELTS exams.
I focus on accent and intonation because grammar alone misses the soul of the language. My students often need help with business Spanish or simply travel preparation. I emphasize listening practice and reading comprehension as the foundation for fluency.

I bring my background as a musician to help you master the rhythm of the Spanish language. My Diploma of Music taught me how to break down complex patterns into manageable pieces. I find that reading and writing improve once your ears get used to the sounds.
